About Ground Penetrating Radar Systems

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. has been providing expert sub-surface detection services since 2001.  We began as a small Ohio company with one employee, Matt Aston, the current president of GPRS.  Today, our staff has grown to 20 plus, with over 50 years combined experience among our service technicians, and locations in most major metropolitan areas throughout the US.  We are proud to be the largest GPR provider nationwide, serving a variety of clients, including engineering firms, contractors, surveyors, and homeowners.

We use the latest ground penetrating technology to provide critical information on utilities, concrete, and other potential obstructions within existing structures or underground.  Non-destructive, fast, and reliable, GPRS provides both two- and three-dimensional images of the scanned areas without using radiation, thereby reducing the risk and cost of structure damage or project downtime.  Starting a job with GPRS promotes a safe work environment by protecting existing sub-surface structures, your workers, and the surrounding communities.

Since GPR is not a supplemental service to an existing business, we are unilaterally committed to delivering the best in industry standards.  Our average technician spends 4 months in the field training to interpret GPR and, subsequently, completes approximately 180 jobs a year, making us the GPR company with the most time in the field reading live data.  Safety is our top priority at GPRS, and all of our equipment is registered and meets all FCC regulations.  Each field technician has completed and received certification in the 10Hr. OHSA Construction Course.  We have had 0 insurance claims and 0 recordables in company history, and our EMR is 0.23 in a group rating by the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation.
