After trying several other methods, Dane Contractors realized that ground penetrating radar would be the most practical and effective way to determine the structural components of a concrete slab. There were ductwork openings to be made through all of the floors of an apartment building and the structural engineer needed to know whether the openings would need additional reinforcing or not. GPRS, Inc. was able to map out all of the reinforcing through the openings and in the slab. We provided immediate results on the concrete surface in addition to providing a report on the results, explaining our findings to the structural engineers.
