We use the latest ground penetrating technology to provide critical information on utilities, materials, and other potential obstructions within existing structures or underground. Fast and reliable, GPRS provides both two- and three-dimensional images of the scanned areas without delivering any radiation. All of our equipment is registered and meets all standard FCC regulations.
Utilizing GPR reduces risk and cost, promotes a safe work environment, and provides non-destructive testing by locating materials such as concrete, plastic, metal, steel, rock, soil, ice, and pavement. Our client base includes hospitals, universities, surveyors, engineers, homeowners, contractors, environmentalists, and excavators.

GPRS is excited to provide global positioning system (GPS) technology for use on your outdoor projects, such as environmental surveys and the detection of underground utility layouts. In conjunction with our GPR and electromagnetic induction technologies, we use a hand-held GPS device to create a comprehensive map of the underground area of your job site that then can be overlaid onto CAD documents and / or Google Earth maps. Utilizing GPS technology along with our GPR and EMI services will give you a permanent record of the physical reference points of your project area’s underground environmental / utility layout. For more information on this resource, please contact your local GPRS representative today!

Remember, our mission is to provide solutions to the critical problems our customers face regarding the location of hidden elements in concrete and underground. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems is, "The New Way to X-ray." Contact us today to meet all your detection needs!
Ground Penetrating Radar technology is ground radar that acts as a type of ground sonar and provides critical information regarding anything that could be located below the surface. It is sometimes called ground sonar, concrete scanning, surface penetrating radar or ground radar. This technology is used throughout Ohio as-well-as around the country for a variety of underground scanning purposes including but not limited to:
- Locating underground utilities
- Conducting concrete x-rays
- Post-tension location
- Locating foundations
- Concrete scanning
GPRS works in a fast and reliable manner. It is also very safe, as it uses no radiation. We use this technology throughout the states of Ohio. Cities such as Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati in Ohio.
*All of our ground penetrating radar equipment is registered and meets all FCC, Ohio regulations
We are able to provide two and three-dimensional images of each area we scan.
At GPRS our mission is to provide solutions to the critical problems our customers in Ohio face regarding the location of hidden elements in concrete and underground.

UST Locating Kent, Ohio
|
The
Akron, OH office of Arcadis, US had a project where they
needed to determine the location of abandoned Underground
Storage Tanks (UST’s) in Kent, OH. The property had a record of once having had UST’s on site, but it
was not known where they were located. The objective of
the GPR survey was to determine if the tanks were still
on site and to give their exact location so they could be
removed in order for a bridge to be constructed on the site.
The project was a success as
Jamie Althauser of GPRS was easily able to identify the
location of Underground Storage Tanks and he was able to
determine their approximate size and depth.
Jamie Althauser is the
Regional Director of operations in Northeast Ohio and Western
Pennsylvania for GPRS. He can be reached in Akron, OH at
(330) 352-0145 and in Pittsburgh, PA at (412) 392-2266 or
by e-mail at jamie.althauser@gp-radar.com. |
